I was born. Whatever happened in my childhood was pretty straight-forward. I just really wanted to include this picture on my professional website. That's my Mother on the left, Grandmother and Godmother on the right. It was the 80's! Hell yea!
My sister and I. How cute is this photo??? That's all.
After a whole pizza and a few Dr. Peppers at the Pizza Hut buffet, I had a routine Doctors appointment. My blood sugar was sky high and I was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic. From this day on, I was no longer a child. I'm still grateful, there are plenty worse hands I could've been dealt.
At just 15 years old, I had a solid interest in real estate sales. During school, I imagined myself a top producing agent with a nice car and a busy work day. In 2004, I was dropped off by my Aunt to shadow Win Morrison, the towns top real estate broker for a day at the office.
My cousin Joe and I started a DJ service. "DJS4LESS" hosted several local dances, parties and events. At only 14 and 16 years old, we earned multiple contracts with local school districts for high school dances.
After graduating high school, my days were spent between community college and Dunkin' Donuts. By night, I was attending pre-licensing courses at Ulster County B.O.C.E.S. By the end of the year, I was a fully licensed real estate salesperson in the state of New York!
After a fantastic start in a hot market, selling for The Sobeck Company in Saugerties, NY, the market tanked. Homes now sat foreclosed and the economy was destroyed. I left the business temporarily and began cooking at a local bar and working with a contractor.
Time to get back on track. After spending the last year plus working in a local bar, I had a solid comeback plan. I began working at a local hospital with a plan to build a new database of clients from the massive pool of co-workers I had. Many of these colleagues would become great friends of mine!
I met the love of my life, Regina Horan. Since then, we've lived in two states, 7 places, traveled the world and made tons of memories! I look forward to tons more with her!
"The Realty Cousins" begin. On a 15 minute break from our job at Vassar Brothers Hospital, my cousin Joe and I came up with the idea to brand a real estate team of our own. Over the next 6 years, we would go on to sell 150+ properties totaling over $52 Million!
The Cousins part ways: During a cold winter lunch in Rhinebeck, NY, Joe and I decided to phase out "The Realty Cousins" and go our separate ways career wise. Don't worry, we still talk almost every day! :) Shortly after, I began working on my NY broker license.
After growing success with sales in New York and a love for Florida, my Fiance Regina and I purchased a second home in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Shortly after, I began to study for my Florida Broker License.
2020 was 2020. Enough said. It was the toughest year of my life but it was the greatest opportunity I've ever had for learning my business. I'm grateful for my health and I'm grateful for all of the opportunity I've had in life. In 2020, I re-groupmade my transition to RE/MAX in preparation for the career of my dreams.
As of the time you're reading this, my dream came true! I'm a top producing associate broker with RE/MAX offices in NY and FL. I'm probably on a flight between either location at this very mom! I'm truly passionate Hudn Valley, NY and South Florida markets and can't wait to help you buy or sell anywhere in either! -Rob
